What a great photo - I love the dog on his little platform... and all the wrenches (spanners) hanging on their rack - talk about being prepared!

Re: I watch a ploughing video in the morning
Well didn’t do so good plowing. But I found a problem. The points on the moldboards are worn out. Stupid me thought they were ok, I didn’t look close enough I guess. Plowed three times. So there could be more problems too, like the operator.
Can’t fix the operation. But can fix the points.
Cast iron points wear easy. So should have the
points fixed for next years plow match.

Sorry to hear it didn’t go so well Noel. I’m will to bet your plow job with worn points would beat mine with new ones!propane1 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 6:51 pm Well didn’t do so good plowing. Just curious what plow you used, and are the points replaceable or are you planning some blacksmithing?

Just a 3 point two sod Massey Ferguson plow Jeff. Nothing special. Yes points are replaceable and or I may weld new points on.

Different tractor today. The steel paddles on the wheels are a neat idea.

Some pictures of tractor, plows and plowing. Zoom in on the plow my NS buddy has on the Ford 8N, to see all the adjustments he can make. My plow is just a basic old plow on my Ferguson.

Re: I watch a ploughing video in the morning
My plow points are worn out. No wonder I couldn't plow good. Just wait till next year.
Have a new set, already had them. But didn’t use them. And I’ll fix the worn out ones, to have.
